isn't juan's car up for a little downtime? I hear his 2L might be up for grabs ;) and you got a year to replace it
Juan needs to setup his "I need an 24v (or 12v, or 20v) engine in my Jetta" fund so that in a year he can have some reel pwr to back up his pimpin looks LOL
unless juan comes in to post in his defense, my word is absolute ;) (but not really)

the price of a 2.0 swap like any other all depends on the donar car you find. i recomend checking out the passat for sale section on the vortex. lost of donars up for sale and also try craigslist. the passat could be a better option cause the auto trans in a vw goes out quite often and they where mostly autos' but then again most where vrsex. but anywhere from 500-2500 for a good 2.0 swap.

i have great news on the Tucker case.
so... i noticed coolant leaking everywhere the other day. and Pedro looked at my car and said my oil was fine (no mixing)... so today, i grabbed my toolbelt, and started wrenching away at my reservoir. it had no cracks and the hose connecting to it was fine... (the leak was under the reservoir). so i reattached everything and tightened it real good. and drove it.
he pulled just fine. but once he was at operating temperature for a while, i noticed steam coming from the hood, so i pulled over to notice the reservoir cap wasnt sitting on it quite right, so i fixed it and drove back home. and let it sit, and the radiator fan kicked in cooling it down.
im having a friend who owns a shop look at it this weekend, and im going to be pissed if the only reason my car wasnt running for the last month was because of a fucking loose hose.
have a great day!

looks like when the water froze it made the hose that connects the reservoir to the block got loose. i tightened it all up and put antifreeze in it. we'll see what happens.

yeah i'm still here (Korea actually) I don't think my engine would be a very easy swap since i don't have most of the original pieces. Thanks though Marki (He's my pimp while im gone)
