99 jetta cold air intake

so im just sliding the pipe into the tube thats already attached there.. and clamping it down?..

then hopping under the car and fitting the new filter in somehow...

or is there any trick im gonna have to do?

for tha part that is circled am i connecting anything to that or is it supposed to be attatched to anything ? ...

That pipe MIGHT be where you reconnect your BPV (if you had a 1.8t) but I coudl be wrong... another place for it would be the PCV valve or oil return in which case I'm not too sure (unless you removed the accordion pipe - you need to find out which steps fit best... I might have been wrong on the "leave the accordion pipe" statement... take it off, and see how it fits. that circled part of the intake might be where that blowby hose fits... check to make sure!
