Would anyone be willing to help me weld up some hole in my engine bay?

rolph205

sounds great, thank you guys
fxgolf

what did you use to drill out your spotwelds?  was it a special cutter or just a drill bit? PDT_Aliboronz_08
rolph205

a little of both.  I (had a spot weld removal bit) don't know were I put it, so I did what i should not have, used a drill bit.
stuston

Stupid question;  what's wrong with using a drill bit?
rolph205

the whole welding part.
stuston

What should you do?
rolph205

well there is a special tool made for spot welds that goings onto a drill and allows you to cut around the outer portion of the weld.  then you can take the 2 parts apart.  it does not drill all the way throw the 2 parts.  i will try and find the link so everyone knows where to get on.  i think it was about $20.
stuston

Is it like a shallow hole saw?
rolph205

something like that. but only 3/8 in dim
stuston

I can see how that'd be useful for restoration.
