Need a New Transmission.Can anybody help?
This is a copy/paste from my post on VWVortex
Need at LEAST an 020 tranny. would prefer a 16v tranny.
Currently, I have a GLi tranny that blew some gears (I think) today.
I can pick up anywhere near ATL, or no further than 100 miles any direction of Macon.

I bought one from Master Transmission on Gray Hwy for 1300 for my MKIV.

Hey man, try Pull A Part North. I know for a fact there are at least two 020's up there. There's also Pull A Part East and South (www.pullapart.com).

That's why MKII's are great... if you can find one, a low milage 020 will probably run $500, a brand new one is only $1200.
