Help with AWP head work

Well, as most of you know I'm trying to help out a friend of mine with her '02 GTI that blew a timing belt. Also, most of you know I got into an accident with the GLI in December and hurt my back. SO, I had done car work since the accident, so I figured I could tackle this task. Meh, I can't. I don't know what it is, but if I'm under the hood of the car for like 15-20 min the pain begins! yay!

Anyway, although she doesn't have too much money to throw at the problem, she has offered some mula for fixing it. SO, anyone willing to lend me a hand and make some extra cash???

Already ordered the parts I know that I'll need, that's including tools, but we'd still need to get the head off. I haven't been able to get it much further than draining fluids and taking of the valve cover. :(

sounds tempting, if only I could find the time.

i am almost caught up here at the house and i might be able to pull some time out of my ass to give you a hand on a saturday or maybe a sunday afternoon.

Well, any help would be appreciated. Need to get that GTI out of my car port to make room for my new passat Smilie_PDT Gonna try to work on it this week off and on and then power work it over the weekend. Lots of heat pads might help, lol. Found a guy local I can get a head from for 500. Might just do that and then sell the AWP head. Meh, idk. I just need to get the damned thing running.

make sure the new head is the same port size as the old one.  be it small or large. Forum Index -> H-o-H Technical
