anyone who can make it i know that me and niko are going does anyone else want to go to the track on friday?? if so we will meet in byron at about 5:30 pm . Directions headed on 75 north take exit 149 Byron exit turn right off of the exit ramp there is a huddle house or waffle house directly on the right next to a gas station we can meet there. let me know if your gonna show!! What track are you talking about and how far is it? I might be interested in going if it is not too far. Have to shoot up to Atlanta to have the S4 serviced on Saturday.

I'm down, it was my first time at the track so I think I did okay after I got the hang of it. I still got to work on my launch If I get it right I can shave about half a second.

My goal is a 14.4 From what I've read the lowest time I've seen with a k04 swap has been 14.5

I'll probably need new tires before I can get though, I spun in first, and second with the stock turbo but still made 15.01.

I figure a swap and some good traction should give me that half second.

u should be faster then a 14.5 or have a higher trap speed. cuz my and felix both ran a 14.5 w/ ko3s

Neko only has a ko3 - non sport model because his car is a 2001...150hp model and the head is slightly more restrictive than the newer 03+ 1.8t's

if we watch Neko and his launches and what not, you guys can pinpoint his weakspots and then he should be able to hit your guys numbers in no time Smilie_PDT

well a couple of pointers, 1) start double clutchin, 2) stop granny shiftin, 3) most of all get nos lots of nos. but seriously do you lift off the gas when you shift neko? if so don't, and what rpm are you launching at? i leave the line aroun 2500 (to help with the initial wheel spin). and don't dump the clutch, feather it out. but no so much that you over heat it. don't worry about watching where you are going, just watch the tach. you can see where your going out of the corner of your eye. when you hit 4500 or so grab the shifter. soon as you break 5200 shift as fast as you can to next gear without lifting off the gas. you won't loose any turbo spool and you get a nice lurch forward when you dump the clutch (yes after you get moving you dump the clutch for every shift as fast as possible) at the end of the 1/4 mile if you have some gear left in 3rd or 4th leave it and just run it out all the way. sometimes if you shift up at the end you loose some pull. and if your on street tires you don't need to do a burn out, it is pointless on radial tires with tread, but you should do one quick spin once you get past the water pit you just drove around. it cleans the crap off your tires. i hope this helps. and remember go big or go home. Gotcha, I launch at about 25-3000 rpms already, But when I shift I do let of the gas... I think, but when I shift I dump the clutch, the shifts happen so fast that I don't even know if I raise my foot off the gas. I noticed that if I shift when my boost begins to taper down my times are better. My longest shift is going into third. Right now I'm trying to work some kinks out of this turbo install.

anybody got a stock n75 laying around?
