i was working in that area today, and the chrome cover that has the P R N D 3 2 1 all that good stuff popped outta place...
cant seem to get the bastard back in...
looks like it has two prongs on each side to clamp back in, but for the life of me i cant seem to get it :(
if anyone knows how to plz save me!

bah... i caved in and set up an appointment at performance VW to have the realign the entire console and put screws in, the dude that had the car b4 me fucked it all up anyways
